Save all your images on Google Photos (Windows and Mac)

Back up your images for free on Google Photos.

As with mobile, it is now possible to synchronize entire directories of your computer with Google Photos, using the Backup & Sync tool (or backup and synchronize).

Like iOS or Android, storage is free and unlimited, provided you accept that the images are limited to 16 megapixels (images of more than 16 megapixels will be modified) and change the original sizes.

The functionality is available on both Windows and Mac. In addition to saving the images for free, which allows to free up space, the functionality is even more convenient if you already use Google Photos on mobile. It will allow to have all its photographs in the same place in the cloud.

To install Backup and Sync for Google Photos, just visit cloud , and download the version of applications for computers.

Once the installation is complete, you will need to sign in to the Google Account, select the folders you want to sync and choose the “Save photos and videos” option and not “Save all files and folders” (otherwise your Google space Drive will be used).
