Next target Guam, North Korea says



The State media of the North Korea stated that the launch of the multi purpose missile was not only to make south Korea afraid of them that also to warn the US that the next target could be Guam territory.

This Ballistic missile was the first ever missile fired from the Korean capital Pyongyang. According to an interview in Pyongyang, the Kim seems happy and satisfied with the performance of missile lately.

The name of the multi purpose missile is Hwasong-12. The launch of it further stressed United States and his allies such as Japan and South Korea.

The launch was “the first step of the military operation of the (North Korean military) in the Pacific and a meaningful prelude to containing Guam,” state media said.

“We knew, based on North Korea events in previous years, that with the joint exercise between the US, South Korea, and its Allies, we can expect rhetoric and activity in North Korea,” said George Charfauros, Guam Homeland Security Adviser.

“Pressure on North Korea should be raised to its limit so that North Korea will voluntarily come to the table for dialogue,” South Korean presidential spokesman Park Su-Hyun said in a statement Wednesday.

The two additionally agreed that the United Nations Security Council sought to institute more itemized and successful approvals against North Korea. Another round of approvals against Pyongyang were consistently affirmed by the Security Council just a few weeks back.

Guam is always been on red line as it is the nearest US territory to North Korea. Guam was also threatened back in 2013 and now just a few before due to the exchange of rude dialogues between North Korea and the US.

Guam holds special importance as the US have Air Force base there from which they control bombing activities in the Korean peninsula.
